Whether individual/small group, consistent training is the key to how well your players will develop. Team training is important; however, it isn’t enough. Technical development at the younger ages requires consistency throughout the year.

Training sessions are conducted at various parks in San Mateo and its neighboring cities. Fields may not be usable due to extreme weather or other activities.

A. Yes. MARTA11 Soccer is available to travel if your are able to identify an appropriate training location. Please work directly with your trainer to find a mutually acceptable location.

A. All players should have soccer attire. This means athletic shorts, a comfortable shirt, tee shirt or jersey that does not limit their motion, soccer shoes (no shinguard is required), a soccer ball, water, smile and energy!!!

Your trainer will be able to provide guidance on the best type of training ball to bring as well as provide soccer shoe recommendations if you have questions. Many players have a backpack designed for soccer gear, which includes room for shoes and a ball. In the spring and fall, please provide your player with a sweatshirt or jacket. Some players prefer to wear warm up pants as well. Please remind your player to not wear any jewelry, especially earrings to their training sessions.

Be on the look for Marta11 Soccer clinic for players between 6-7 years old. The introduction to the ball at the younger, I believe is important for younger players to develop a natural feel and ability on the ball, which entail will help in making the to play and make decisions better. Individual sessions for players younger will be modified in focus and time. While also based on the players ability to follow basic instructions.

No. Marta11 training program is also geared towards players pursuing or already playing at the professional, collegiate, international level. If you’re an older player, looking to simply improve, MARTA11 will also be able to help you.
